WEEK EIGHT-AXONOMETRIC DRAWING EVOLUTION PROCESS & TWO CONCEPTS

I chose the combined axonometric drawing, which is developed from Jenny Wu's inlay of connecting solids and voids as well as freeform geometry concept, as my draft idea of the stop design. Then I developed the model by making the shape symmetric in lateral direction because the traffic volume on each side of the stop should be the same. In addition, I added several frame structures to the main body, showing the position of roof supporting columns. On the next step, I subdivided the extruded part of the drawing, transforming into Y-shape columns which support the secondary roof structure. The tube-like blocks were developed into escalator for pedestrian access.
